I have discovered two natural, non-toxic skin care products over the years that can be extremely helpful for supporting the health of photo-damaged skin, burns, bruises, rashes, and for recent scars from surgeries. The latest product is called Psoria-Gold Topical Curcumin Gel. I was searching for this product because of some specific problems I was having with photo-damaged skin. It was developed by a dermatologist named Dr. Heng who uses this gel in her own dermatology clinic and has researched and developed the product for many, many years. At this time I am only selling the product directly from my office in Boulder, Colorado, face to face and not shipping to people. You can purchase the product in advance of pick up at my office at my web site through PayPal or you can pay in cash at the time of pick up of your Psoria-Gold Curcumin Gel. You’ll need to call in advance at 303-641-1267 to schedule an appointment for pick up Monday through Friday during my office hours, between 11am and 6pm. Please leave a message if you don’t get a hold of me and I will return your call within 48 hours if not sooner. The gel is applied a minimum of 2 times per day before any other products are applied to the skin. Only a small amount is needed each time. Currently there is a sale on the product.
Regular retail price is $89. It’s on sale now for $71.20 for 2019. A little goes a long way!
My other go to natural, non-toxic skin care product that I have used for over 20 years is Standard Process’s USF Ointment. It can be combined with Psoria-Gold Topical Curcumin Gel or used by itself. USF Ointment is a wonderful essential fatty acids, topical ointment that gives you the proper ratio of skin lipids. For the normal epidermis the proportions for skin lipids are: 1 part cholesterol to 1 part lecithin to 3 parts total unsaturated fatty acids among them vitamin F as found in USF Ointment. USF Ointment helps to restore fats to the skin in their balanced proportion intended by nature. Consider USF Ointment to help with dry skin, dandruff, brittle hair, dermatitis, burns, infantile dermatitis and chapped lips.
In an upcoming blog, by November 1st, I will cover nutrition for healthy skin and another wonderful product that addresses the health of the skin microbiome.
It is important that we lower and eliminate our exposure to toxins in our environment including endocrine disrupting chemicals found in many products that we use everyday. The prevailing dogma applied to chemical risk assessment is that “the dose makes the poison”. New research is showing that there is “no safe dose”. The negative impact of endocrine disrupting chemicals contributing to infertility, interfering with the healthy function of our endocrine glands, as well as “in utero” exposure that contributes to causes of disease in adulthood is discussed in depth by the Endocrine Society in two major published papers. These papers are a must read for anyone concerned about their health, their children’s health, their family’s health, and the health of our home, planet earth.
